Pelvis Study is a one-of-a-kind drawing I hung on to from my illustrious teaching career. I was teaching my high school drawing class anatomy and mixed media techniques simultaneously. Every once in a while one of those didactic demos rises to the top!

There are those who desperately cry for help, although they don't really need it.

And there are those who go through all the steps, because life is change and evolution, and they learn a little with every move, until they become experts.


Hay quien reclama desesperadamente que le ayuden, aunque en realidad no lo necesita.

Y hay quien pasa por todas las fases, porque la vida es cambio evolución, y aprende un poquito en cada mudanza, hasta convertirse en un experto.

The images used in this series are from two photographs of Palma de Mallorca in 1910. I am going to move soon into Palma, this move being my 17th in 21 years...hence the title. The title also comes from the last line in the text that acts as a thread through the series of 8. Normally the text I use is pretty well obscured under paint, but this contribution was so appropriate, I decided to let it be read.
